Fitting '01 Facelift Headlights to '97 Model

MessageAuthor

It can be done. It involves undoing the bumper moving it fwd to get the lights out and new ones in, then changing the wiring so it works with two H7 bulbs instead of the one H4(i think its a H4 anyway) bulb you have now. I think there is a kit to change the wiring but you will have to search on this forum for the info. Its been posted before.

Danneh getting the headlights in and out is quite easy but be carefull if you have aicon this is the part thats a bit niggly 10mm bolts 2 of them either side and two behind each front indicator ,the bumper has a philips screw either side under the front wheel arch were the bumper meets the edge of the wheel arch, unscrew them and the bumper can be pulled about 2 inches so you get the clearence to manouver the lights in and out the bumper will clip back in then screw the two philips screws back in, dont be afraid to give the bumper a tug when the screws are out it will clip back in as for the wireing there will be a topic somewhere on here how to wire them up, as long as the wires and plugs are with the twin headlights
