Multiple VST Folders?

MessageAuthor

Hello All, My computer melted this week, requiring a new one. So, I went out and purchased a fairly decent powerhorse. (Intel i7, 16gigs ram, 128 gig ssd, 1 terrabyte hardrive) I then needed to reinstall all of my software. In my rush to install my Maschine Mikro and Komplete 6, I realized I loaded them on the 128gig ssd drive. This essentially used up all of the space on the drive. As I also had East West Symphonic stuff to install, I thought it would make sense to uninstall the Maschine software and Komplete 6 and reinstall them on the terrabyte drive. (Putting them all in one shared folder titled music or something). Well....Komplete 6 does not want to uninstall for some reason and I am concerned that I may not be able to get these all in the same "vst" folder. So...my question is this: If I have vst's in different locations (some on the c:drive, others on the d:drive, can Reaper 4.30 handle multiple vst folders? Going off my hazy memory, I thought all vsts had to be in one consolidated folder, no? Any help you can provide would be GREATLY appreciated.

RE: Multiple VST Folders?

No worries, Reaper can handle multiple folders, just add them to the path in the vst-settings in preferences. I would probably still try to get stuff on the other drive though...

Thank you gentleman! I was getting concerned that this installation impasse was going to screw my reaper work flow up. Thanks again, 75Crates
