Veg Oil

Has anyone used a mix of veg oil in their diesel? if so what injection/pump systems work best and what proportions can you mix to? Also has anyone had any problems using veg oil? Many thanks.

Had a customer in for a service at our garage, he'd mixed his own diesel/bio fuel, cost him over 300.00 notes to flush the system out and replace all the filters/ steam clean the fuel tank after the addatives he put in the fuel congealed and blocked all the filters and pipework.:speechless-smiley-6 BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU PUT IN. It could cost you more than buying pump bio diesel in the long run.:emoticon_U:

No, you can't put veg oil in a common rail diesel engine!

People have said to me mix the diesel with cooking oil, 2 parts diesel to 1 part cooking oil. My response is no way. Besides the amount of money I would save over a year is out weighed by cost of the problems it would cause.
